Your blood test results, explained — with your history
Share your results in your AI chat. Hea shows what the lab printed beside your past results and the facts about each test, and your AI explains them in plain words, with your history.

Results arrive in the NHS App with a word like "normal" or "satisfactory" and not much else. You see a number, a range and maybe a flag, and your next appointment is weeks away. Last year's result is somewhere else, so you can't tell what changed.
How Hea helps
Share your results Today
A photo, a PDF, a screenshot from the NHS App, or numbers typed into the chat. Hea's card shows every line as the lab printed it, with the unit, the range and any flag, for you to check before anything is saved.
Your history beside them Today
The same tests you saved in Hea before, with their dates. What each test measures, for the common tests Hea has fact cards for. What can shift a number, such as a recent infection, shown only when you tick it.
Explained in plain words Today
Once you save, your AI explains them in plain words, with your history. Hea gives your AI the facts: what the lab printed, your past results, what each test measures and what can shift a number. Your GP confirms what it means for you.
Home blood tests and a UK doctor's review Soon
Soon: order blood tests at home, and have a UK doctor look at your results. Neither is available yet.

Safety first
If your result is flagged as urgent by the lab or your GP, follow their advice first.
If a result is in the range labs treat as critical, Hea shows it first and on its own, with no explanation, and asks whether a doctor has already discussed it with you.
Questions people ask
What does "satisfactory" mean in the NHS App?
It is a comment your GP surgery adds after a clinician has looked at the result. It does not show the number itself, and surgeries use the word in their own way. If you are not sure what it means for you, contact your GP surgery.
Can my results be "normal" and still not right for me?
A result inside the range is one piece of the picture, not the whole answer. Ranges differ between labs, and your report shows your lab's range. The NHS says that even when results show nothing, sometimes other tests are needed. If you still have symptoms, tell your GP.
Should I see my GP about a high result?
If the lab or your GP has flagged it as urgent, follow their advice first. Otherwise your GP surgery is the place to ask: the NHS App says to contact your surgery if you have concerns about a result you can see. Hea gives you questions to take with you.
Why can't I see all my results in the NHS App?
Some results don't appear in the app. Tests from before October 2023 may not show automatically, and tests ordered by a hospital, done privately or for maternity care may not be there. Your surgery may also hold a result until a professional has discussed it with you. Ask your GP surgery about anything missing.
How long do blood test results take?
Usually a few days, and more complex tests can take a few weeks. If you've heard nothing after a few weeks, contact your GP surgery or the specialist who asked for the test.
Does Hea tell me if my results are normal?
No. Hea shows what the lab printed, including its range and any flag, with the facts about each test. Your AI explains them in plain words, with your history, and your GP confirms what they mean for you.
